Position: Registered Nurse - CVOR | Everett, WA, United States | Start date: 05/26/2026 | Travel - Weeks | Weekly pay: $2,064 to $2,214 per week | Guaranteed hours: 70 hours per 2-week period | Shift: 4x10 days, days | Setting: Level II Trauma Center with a dedicated Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery unit, EPIC charting, 18 OR rooms across two campuses.

Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery cases in the Main OR, including scrub and circulating roles
Support high-complexity procedures such as CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA repairs, minimally invasive valve procedures, VATS/RATS, carotid cutdowns, mediastinoscopy, pericardial windows, tamponade management, and CVL support
Maintain sterile technique, ensure patient safety, monitor anesthesia collaboration, and assist with instrument handling and positioning
Document intraoperative care and patient status in EPIC; coordinate care with anesthesia, perfusion, and post-anesthesia teams
Manage patient transitions to PACU and communicate case progress; participate in turnover and room readiness for subsequent cases
Float as needed between Main OR and General OR to support service continuity and unit needs
Adhere to call requirements, including at least 1 weekend per month and 5 weekday evenings per month
Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in Washington or ability to obtain
Minimum 1 year of CVOR/Cardiovascular & Thoracic OR experience; first-timers accepted
EPIC charting experience required
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, CNOR, PALS, TNCC preferred
OR background in cardiothoracic/vascular surgery with general OR competency
Ability to work in a Level II Trauma Center environment; call responsibilities as specified; ability to float between related units
Education
