
Senior RF Design Engineer

The Panther Group is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense program in Andover, MA. This is a high-impact role working on advanced, high-reliability RF systems across the full product lifecycle—from concept and design through testing and production. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside industry experts on cutting‑edge RF technologies in a collaborative, hands‑on engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop RF circuits, modules, and subsystems for high-reliability applications
Support all phases of the product lifecycle, including:
Concept development
Prototyping
Testing and validation
Production support
Perform RF analysis, simulation, and testing using tools such as:
Network analyzers
Spectrum analyzers
Microwave simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, CST, etc.)
Troubleshoot and resolve integration and performance issues
Develop and review:
RF schematics
Block diagrams
Technical documentation and test data
Collaborate cross-functionally with:
Systems engineers
Hardware engineers
Manufacturing and test teams
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership initiatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
8+ years of RF design experience (or 6+ years with a Master’s degree)
Strong experience with:
RF circuit and subsystem design
Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)
Schematic capture and RF block diagrams
Hands‑on experience with:
Microwave test equipment
RF simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, CST, etc.)
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex RF design and integration issues
Ability to work independently on advanced technical challenges
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (Interim required to start)
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Active Secret Clearance
Experience in defense, aerospace, or high-reliability electronics
Expertise with:
RF subsystems (antennas, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, mixers, etc.)
Frequency generation and conversion circuits
Experience with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools
Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques
Proven leadership or project ownership experience
Pay up to $118.70 per hour DOE #ZRCS
