Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Knowledge
Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, and epidemiology of medical conditions
Utilizes critical thinking to synthesize and analyze collected data
Develops, implements, and alters the plans of care as indicated
Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area
Patient Care
Provides compassionate care, incorporating the patient and family in care planning and treatment across settings
Serves as an advocate for patients and families in navigating the health care system
Clinical documentation, including coding and billing, meets all required standards
Utilization and proficiency of EHR, allowing for timely completion of documentation
Practice Based Learning and Clinical Improvement
Demonstrates insight into own strengths, limitations, and knowledge deficits, continuously seeking opportunities for clinical advancement and skill attainment
Actively participates in self-evaluation by seeking and utilizing guidance and constructive feedback in a professional manner
Communication and Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Works and communicates effectively with multidisciplinary team members, all related health professionals, patients and their families

Doctoral degree in podiatric medicine
Completion of accredited residency with board qualification or certification
Surgical experience preferred
