Position Overview
Butler Community College is seeking a Director of Disability Services (ADA Compliance Officer / Section 504 Coordinator). The Director will perform duties assigned by the Vice‑President of Student Services to assure that appropriate services are available to all disability services students enrolled at the college. As the lead advocate, the Director will work closely with the VP of Student Services to create a campus environment where every student feels seen and supported.

Qualifications
A. Must have knowledge of all disabilities.
B. Solid background in working with individuals with disabilities.
C. Prior knowledge interpreting diagnosis and testing results.
D. Necessary to have a background in counseling and consulting.
E. Must possess arbitration skills to deescalate anger and frustration and focus on a cooperative learning experience.
F. Ability to be open, honest, and willing to be supportive while allowing the individual to face the consequences of their actions.
G. Ability to work as a team member to assist in the efficient operation of the entire division.
Required experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in disability services or working with students with disabilities, with higher education experience preferred.

Nature of Position: Full Time
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience starting at $57,200 /yr.
