You will join the Western Europe South – R&D & Regulatory Affairs team, with direct responsibility for Beauty regulatory activities in Italy, Greece and Cyprus. The role combines regulatory leadership, strong scientific expertise and close interaction with the business, with the objective of ensuring regulatory compliance, speed of execution and strategic support to business decisions, in a context of increasing legislative complexity and continuous renewal of the product portfolio.
What you’ll do
Regulatory Leadership & Compliance: Lead and coordinate all regulatory activities for the Beauty portfolio (Retail and Professional) in Italy, Greece and Cyprus. Ensure full compliance with applicable European and local regulations. Monitor the evolution of the EU and national regulatory framework and promptly translate its impacts on products, innovation and business.
Business Partnering: Support Marketing, Sales and Legal in the definition of claims, technical communication and product positioning. Act as the key reference point for complex regulatory decisions, balancing compliance, risk and business opportunities. Actively contributes to regulatory risk management and business continuity.
Product Compliance & Product Lifecycle: Supervision and approval of Artwork and labeling, SDS and technical documentation, Claims and technical communication. Evaluate the regulatory impacts of modifications to the formula and packaging.
Stakeholder Management & Network: Collaborate with EU teams (Central Regulatory and R&D) to ensure strategic alignment and consistent execution. Interface with local authorities, including management and support during inspections. Represent the company in industry associations and technical working groups.
Team & Governance: Coordinate regulatory activities across the three countries, setting clear priorities and ensuring effective execution. Ensure the quality of processes and the robustness of compliance systems. Support the development of regulatory competencies within the team.
What makes you a good fit
5-8 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs (FMCG; preferably Beauty/Cosmetics) in international and/or multi-country contexts
Proven ability to manage high regulatory complexity and to effectively interact with the business
Solid knowledge of EU normative on cosmetic products
Solid experience in claims and technical communication, labeling and artwork approval
Knowledge of formulation characteristics and active ingredient systems used
Scientific approach, pragmatic and solution-oriented
Leadership and decision-making
Strong orientation towards business
Ability to work efficiently in complex contexts in continuous evolution
Clear communication, influential and authoritative
Fluent English (mandatory) and Greek is a plus
