About HarbourVest Evergreen Portfolio Management
They are building a small, global Evergreen Portfolio Management team based in Boston with international team leads in Dublin and London. This team manages HarbourVest’s product suite of private equity evergreen portfolios. The team actively manages fund liquidity, supports new investment activity, partners with the HarbourVest salesforce to market these products to investors, and advises on the launch of new product portfolios. The Evergreen Fund is experiencing strong momentum with a growing demand for their evergreen offerings and poised to have an immense impact at HarbourVest.
What you will do:
Role is a mix of responsibilities roughly split:

1/3 portfolio management ,

1/3 fundraising/client engagement

(LPs are registered investment advisors and banks),

1/3 new business/product work ; team handles portfolio construction, liquidity modeling, fund operations and investor calls. This is a career track opportunity.
Own the fund’s model portfolio and target investment parameters in support of evergreen fund leadership
Analyze the fund’s investment needs related to diversification, tactical strategy allocations, pacing, investment suitability, and sizing
Regularly monitor the portfolio against investment objectives & restrictions, and the current market environment to recommend future adjustments
Day-to-day liquidity management including cash balance and cash investment strategy, credit line utilization, redemption considerations, and capital available to invest
Produce new content to respond to internal/external questions and fundraising efforts, particularly focused on portfolio, performance, and liquidity
Create and review external content for product marketing including pitch decks, websites, monthly fact sheets, and quarterly reports
Assist in the production of thought pieces/white papers to support evergreen fund marketing
The ideal candidate:
2-4 years of investment banking, private equity, investment-related quantitative analysis, and/or evergreen fund investment experience
An analytical problem-solver that can identify and implement creative solutions
A self-starter who is attentive to detail and focused on the execution of responsibilities
A team-player that is organized and can efficiently prioritize multiple projects to meet target dates with little direct supervision
Able to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
