Universal Banker

The Universal Banker is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by performing both teller and personal banker functions. This position requires strong relationship-building skills, the ability to cross-sell financial products, and accuracy in processing transactions. The Universal Banker plays a key role in achieving branch goals while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding service to all customers by handling transactions efficiently and professionally.
Open and maintain deposit accounts, process loan applications, and assist customers with digital banking services.
Identify customer needs and recommend financial solutions to enhance their banking relationship.
Meet or exceed sales and referral goals as assigned.
Accurately process cash transactions, maintain a balanced cash drawer, and adhere to security protocols.
Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and problems in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and federal regulations including BSA/AML.
Support branch operations, including opening/closing procedures and audits.
Participate in ongoing training and development activities to maintain job knowledge.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Minimum 12 years of banking, retail sales, or customer service experience.
Cash handling experience strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn banking systems quickly.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
