Litigation Support and eDiscovery Specialist
eDiscovery Management
Oversee eDiscovery matters of varying scope, managing processes from initial collection through to final production.
Consulting and Guidance
Provide consulting services across all organizational levels, leveraging expertise in discovery, eDiscovery, and related technologies. Offer guidance to management, clients, attorneys, paralegals, case assistants, and support staff. Develop discovery plans and budgets as part of these responsibilities.
Litigation Technology and Trial Support
Deliver ongoing litigation technology and trial support to legal teams, including designing, implementing, and ensuring quality control of databases.
Technology Assisted Review Collaboration
Work closely with attorneys on Technology Assisted Review projects, utilizing Relativity's Review Center and aiR suite of AI products.
Discovery Oversight and Vendor Management
Provide targeted support and oversight in discovery processes, including monitoring and managing vendors involved in these activities.
Assist in the development, proposal, and implementation of best practice standards and guidelines related to litigation technology and AI solutions.
Professional Development
Engage in continual professional development through in-house training and participation in informational, professional, and vendor events to stay updated on technology and service advancements in the field.
IT Coordination
Coordinate with the Information Technology department to recommend suitable software and hardware for litigation technology needs.
Training and Instruction Support
Provide training and support to attorneys and others, helping them develop strategies and programs that offer ongoing instruction and information to case teams regarding litigation support, AI, and discovery issues.
Backup Support
Serve as backup for the Litigation Support Project Manager and Specialist when necessary.
AI Solution Support
Support the Manager of Knowledge and Practice Support Services in evaluating and implementing innovative AI solutions across all practice groups.
Technical Duties
Document Processing
Process documents using RelativityOne.
Database Maintenance
Maintain document databases via document review software (primarily RelativityOne), ensuring proper functioning from both technical and end-user perspectives.
Case and Transcript Management
Provide case and transcript management support using software such as RelativityOne, Opus2, TimeCoder Pro, or similar applications.
Collections Coordination
Coordinate or perform collections of emails, electronic documents, mobile devices, and social media using platforms like Forensic Email Collector, Microsoft Purview, Relativity Collect, PageVault, iExplorer, or equivalents.
Documentation
Document work activities by maintaining logs and chain of custody records.
Trial Support
Support trial preparation and proceedings through software such as Trial Director or comparable applications.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required.
* At least four years of experience in a mid-to-large law firm or equivalent setting is essential.
* Expert-level knowledge in automated litigation information management, databases, project and case management, litigation support, discovery and evidence management, and imaging management systems and software.
* Relativity Certified Administrator or Certified E-Discovery Specialist credentials preferred.
* Advanced proficiency in technologies such as Microsoft Office, Kofax Power PDF Advanced, iManage/FileSite, and database administration/management systems.
Additional Skills and Essential Functions
* Demonstrated proficiency in AI technologies applicable to legal practices.
* Continual familiarity with litigation technology issues, applications, and relevant case law.
* Experience conducting document reviews and providing case management and transcript management support using applications like Case Notebook, Relativity, or equivalents.
* Exceptional grammar, spelling, and proofing ability for content and context.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with sound practical judgment.
* Proven capacity to work independently and delegate tasks as needed to manage multiple responsibilities and adhere to deadlines.
* Superior organizational abilities, including prioritization under pressure.
