Reports To: Behavior Intervention Developer
Department: School Based Services
School Site Location: Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) schools located in various regions of San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles.
*FACT is currently looking for a Male (BFOQ) BII to work at a school in the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles.
Status: Non-Exempt; Full-Time

About this role:
We are currently hiring for BII Positions, one in Los Angeles area and one in the San Fernando Valley area , who are comfortable working with aggressive students on the autism spectrum.
FACT provides the necessary paid training to ensure you will be successful in your role. These include but are not limited to: CPI, AB 1172, OSHA and CA Required trainings.
Receive Supervision hours needed for your Registered Behavior Technician and BCBA certification!
Additionally, with every year that you spend as a BII with FACT, you will receive automatic pay increases following our rate scale!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following):
* Understanding, actively guiding, and implementing program-wide expectations
* Understanding program-wide student and BII expectations and actively supporting all development programming.
* Consistently and enthusiastically promoting the expectation of high achievement for all students and BIIs and reinforcing program-wide rules and expectations.
* Facilitating recognition of students who are successful in meeting social, emotional, and behavioral goals.
* Promoting a positive learning climate for students that reinforces replacement behaviors.
* Promoting and teaching self-regulation.
* Use of proper Observation and Note-taking techniques as well as using Welligent, Ankota & other company related systems & software.
* Setting professional boundaries and maintaining them with fellow staff members, funding sources, clients, and any other outside agency.
* Maintaining client confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
* Modeling a positive client focused attitude.
* Submitting time sensitive materials by the given deadline to all requesting departments.
Implement Behavior Intervention Services
* Working directly with students to implement their positive behavior support plan.
* Understanding and implementing the behavior support plan in the student's current IEP along with the treatment plan developed and modified by the BID.
* Promoting independence utilizing different teaching procedures.
* Collecting data on behavior for interpretation by BID, teacher, and other school district staff.
* Recording hours worked with client and client notes within Welligent and Ankota daily after completion of each assignment.
* Providing one to one direct support to student in a classroom setting
* Directing any and all parent inquiries to BID Provider and teacher.
* Attending and completing all required training as assigned by FACT management.
Data Collection and Documentation:
* Completing multiple types of data record each day and transcribing them onto a weekly data record.
* Completing weekly data records each week including graphing and/or calculating data
* Confirming that data is collected each day per LAUSD and FACT requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
* High School Diploma. Additional compensation for Bachelors Degree.
* Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques (preferred).
* Must be able to fluently read, write and speak in English.
* Minimum of 1 year working as a BII, Behavior Therapist, Social Work, or related position.
* Experience working with children or individuals with special needs, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
* Understanding and willingness to learn basic office equipment and software used by the district and company in maintaining records and files (i.e.., Microsoft Office, Google, MITC and Welligent)
* Proficient in data collection.
* Male preferred - To qualify for a bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ),
an employer must prove the restriction is a business necessity by showing the characteristic is essential to the job's function and that all or substantially all members of the excluded group cannot perform the job safely or effectively
. The restriction must also be reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the business.

* Must pass a Live Scan DOJ Fingerprint background check.
* Satisfactory TB Screening.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, taste or smell. Carry and lift up to twenty-five pounds.

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour (depending on education and experience)
