Our newsrooms publish via the Spectrum News app and connected television, delivering 24‑hour news on the platform viewers want. As a Photojournalist you’ll work with a team of journalists to shoot and edit material for newscasts, elevating stories by incorporating footage with fresh angles, lighting, and points of view that connect with audiences across traditional and digital platforms.
Responsibilities
Shoot and edit television news footage for newscasts.
Incorporate fresh angles, lighting, and points of view to elevate stories.
Collaborate with a team of journalists to produce compelling, timely, and accurate content across TV, connected TV, and digital platforms.
What You’ll Bring to Spectrum News
Experience : Shooting and editing television news footage – 5+ years
Education : Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience
Technical Skills : Operation of ENG/SNG/Satellite vehicles and bonded cellular streaming
Skills : Ability to clearly communicate solutions and relate to audiences of all ages
Abilities : Positive attitude; eager to solve problems; capable of lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds; able to distinguish colours and discern sounds
Travel Ability : Open to traveling to discover important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
Schedule : Ability to work varying shifts, be flexible with schedule changes, and cover stand‑by responsibilities when assigned
Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the state of residence

Working Conditions
Work inside a climate‑controlled environment and outside throughout the year, potentially in extreme heat or cold.
Drive company vehicle to and from various locations while obeying all traffic laws.
