*Overview*
We are seeking a licensed massage therapist to operate as an independent contractor within our clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated therapist looking to build or grow their own business without the overhead of managing a full facility.
*Duties*
* Provide high-quality massage therapy services to your clients
* Manage your own scheduling, bookings, and client communication
* Process your own payments and maintain financial records
* Maintain a clean, professional treatment space
* Carry appropriate liability insurance and maintain licensure
* Furnish your own space
*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management
* Proven experience in patient service with excellent customer service skills that foster trust and satisfaction
* Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced massage techniques, prenatal preferred but not required.
* Ability to assess patient conditions accurately through patient assessment skills and adapt treatments accordingly
* Familiarity with occupational health standards to ensure safe practice environments
* Prior experience in med spa or wellness center settings is highly desirable
* Excellent communication skills for explaining treatment benefits and post-care instructions clearly
*Requirements:*
* Active massage therapy license in the state of Mississippi
* Professional liability insurance
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
