We are working with a hyper-scaling technology company seeking a

commercial counsel

to support it's procurement function. Candidates should have the demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of contracts within a high growth environment.

This is a 6-month contract.

This role will focus on drafting and negotiating procurement agreements related to professional services, technology transactions, and SaaS. The candidate must have demonstrated privacy experience for issue spotting related to GDPR, DPA review, etc.

$100–$120/hour (equivalent of $200k - $240k annualized)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and negotiate vendor and procurement agreements across professional services, technology transactions, and SaaS
Advise on contracts across a range of technology environments, including cloud based and on prem solutions
Manage a high volume of inbound requests and drive matters forward efficiently
Partner with cross functional stakeholders to deliver practical, business oriented legal guidance
Synthesize inputs and provide clear recommendations and next steps
Identify and escalate privacy considerations as needed
Demonstrated privacy experience with respect to issue flagging, DPA review, GDPR, and other applicable data privacy protection requirements.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in procurement, commercial contracts, or technology transactions
Proven ability to independently negotiate and close complex agreements
Experience operating in fast paced, high volume environments
Strong judgment and ability to prioritize across competing demands

Location :

Candidates who are able to work on site on a hybrid basis in San Francisco will be given a strong preference
