Job Overview
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (Neuro PCU) at Research Medical Center delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies, serves as a resource for staff, and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Assist with admission and discharge processes.

Partner with subject‑matter experts and leadership to support improved outcomes and service.

Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.

Assist with staff scheduling assignments and patient rounding.

Manage patient‑care assignments as indicated by patient‑care needs.

Mentor, lead and guide new nurses.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with RN diploma.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

About the Unit
The Neuro Progressive Care Unit is a 16 bed unit dedicated to comprehensive stroke and seizure patients. It is designated by the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, the State of Missouri as a Level 1 Time Critical Diagnosis Center of Excellence, and is recognized by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for Gold Plus stroke standards.
