What You'll Do
As a Medical Records Assistant, you will work closely with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure that all medical records are properly documented, stored, and updated in compliance with regulatory standards, playing a crucial role in maintaining accurate and organized medical records for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records by verifying information and resolving discrepancies
Compile, organize, and maintain residents' medical records in electronic and paper formats
Keep the Central Supply area and units stocked with necessary supplies
Order supplies and compile purchase orders
Function as a liaison between the Nursing Department and vendors when necessary
Audit timeliness of charting by physicians, physical therapists, nurses, etc., and notify appropriate individuals
What You'll Be Paid
USD $25.00 - $27.00 per hour.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in health information management or related field preferred
Prior experience working in medical records management, preferably within a long-term care facility or healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD‑10, CPT), and healthcare documentation standards
Previous experience in ordering supplies and compiling purchase orders
