Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse, you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives. You will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, conduct critical risk assessments, provide vital preventative health education, and expertly coordinate care for diverse patient populations, leveraging technology to streamline processes. You will ensure patients feel informed and at ease, patiently guiding them through instructions and addressing their concerns.
Patient Satisfaction: Model the Hospital's Patient Satisfaction efforts and demonstrate AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates, and colleagues.
Orients patient/family members to patient room, including placement of personal belongings, use of bed, call light system, and other equipment as appropriate to patient age.
Completes nursing assessment and consistently utilizes/develops an initial care plan using all available sources of information; creates a plan of care specific to patient health and age-related needs.
Recognizes patient's/family's capabilities and assists them to function at their optimal level, making appropriate adjustments respecting their capabilities and age needs.
Demonstrates knowledge of patient population needs, utilizing growth and development knowledge, physiology and pathology, unit-specific protocols, critical pathways, and standards.
Consistently communicates with team members about each patient's individual and age-specific needs, documenting this in the Nursing Plan of Care. Reviews and modifies the Nursing Plan as needed per unit/hospital policy.
Develops a teaching/discharge plan for individual patients; utilizes assessment data and includes the patient and family whenever possible. Evaluates patient education and involves other caregivers in teaching to ensure needed education is provided.
Job Requirements
One (1) year of experience in the area of specialty preferred. Minimum six (6) months of acute care experience required; new graduates not eligible.
Current California RN License.
AHA-BLS (American Heart Association – Basic Life Support).

$54.06 - $70.55 /hour
