Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and support to clients in the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in the areas of mineral rights, due diligence, and division orders.

Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of Oil & Gas contracts and agreements.

Conduct thorough due diligence in relation to Oil & Gas transactions, including title examination, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.

Advise clients on matters relating to mineral rights, including leasing, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Manage and resolve complex legal issues arising from division orders, including interpreting contractual terms, resolving ownership disputes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation related to Oil & Gas matters.

Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory changes affecting the Oil & Gas industry, and advise clients accordingly.

Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement effective legal strategies for clients.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in the state.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong focus on mineral rights, due diligence, and division orders.

Demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Oil & Gas contracts and agreements.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting the Oil & Gas industry.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
