Lead Data Engineer – Global Asset Management (PGIM Private Capital)
As part of the PPC Information Technology & Services team, we support PGIM Private Capital with vendor and internally designed applications, processes, and reporting. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, architectures, and data sets that are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and architectures.

Work closely with business analysts and data engineers to ensure solutions meet business objectives.

Lead and mentor data engineers and data modelers.

Collaborate strategically with business partners to gather requirements and provide data‑driven insights.

Implement and maintain data engineering best practices for stability and scalability.

Develop and implement a production support plan.

Design, implement, and optimize scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Dataflow Gen2, and other Fabric services.

Architect and maintain data models and lakehouses using Data Vault 2.0 and Medallion architectures.

Develop semantic models and reports using Power BI.

Act as responsible data stewards to ensure data integrity, compliance, and trust.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Previous experience leading data engineers.

Strong proficiency with Azure cloud services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Databricks.

Experience with SQL and common data science toolkits.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala.

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Knowledge of development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) is a plus.

Nice to Have

Fabric knowledge and exposure.

Apache Spark.

Data Lakehouse.

Investment Management Industry or Fintech experience.

Full Stack Developer – PGIM DC Solutions
PGIM DC Solutions is building a technology platform for defined contribution clients. The role requires hands‑on full‑stack implementation for the DCS business, deploying cloud‑based architecture, and working in a start‑up environment.

Core Functional Responsibilities

Hands‑on production full‑stack implementation for DCS.

Implement DCS architecture to provide new features and services to a consumer client base.

Collaborate with technologists, QA, and product management to build software solutions.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science/Engineering, Finance or Mathematics/Statistics required.

Minimum 7 years of full‑stack development experience in financial services.

Strong programming skills in Python or C++ and some PostgreSQL.

Solid numerical programming abilities.

Skill with git source control systems.

Experience working within an agile development framework.

Curious, excited to learn, experiment, and innovate.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of financial planning and software.

Knowledge of or experience with various asset classes such as equity, bonds and annuities.

Defined Contribution / Retirement industry knowledge and experience.

Experience building and orchestrating containers and microservices, preferably on AWS.

Salary Range
$150,000 to $190,000 annually. Compensation may vary within this range based on location, experience, and skills.
