Overview
The UCF School of Social Work and the UCF Health Mobile Health Clinic in the College of Health Professions and Sciences invite applications for a 12‑month, non‑tenure‑earning instructor or lecturer position. The appointment is located on the UCF main campus with an anticipated start date on or after May 1, 2026.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will provide clinical social work services across the lifespan, demonstrating expertise in behavioral health assessment, intervention, case management, and trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, community-based care.

A major component of the role is supervising social work students who provide services through the UCF Mobile Health Clinic and the College of Health Professions and Sciences Rehabilitation and Wellness. The candidate will also have opportunities to supervise graduate and undergraduate social work students completing clinical experiences and to provide classroom instruction for courses offered by the School of Social Work.

The UCF Mobile Health Clinic serves vulnerable and medically underserved communities in Central Florida, operating from a 38‑ft commercial‑grade vehicle with exam rooms, intake and lab space, and additional tents or tables. Services include primary care, preventive screening, behavioral health support, and chronic disease management. The primary service area is the greater Orlando region.

Minimum Qualifications

For instructor rank, a MSW from a CSWE‑accredited program.

For lecturer rank, a Ph.D./DSW in Social Work or related field from an accredited institution by the start of appointment.

Two years of post‑MSW experience.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience working in behavioral health settings.

Teaching experience at the college/university level.

Experience supervising students.

Active status as a qualified supervisor for registered social work interns.
