We are seeking an experienced EP Lab RN / Electrophysiology Nurse for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Boston. Ideal candidates have procedural cardiology or EP Lab experience, strong cardiac monitoring skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Active RN license (Massachusetts or compact state) — Massachusetts nursing license preferred
Minimum 1 year recent experience in an EP Lab, IR/EP, Cardiac Cath Lab, or similar procedural cardiology setting
Strong understanding of cardiovascular pathophysiology, hemodynamics, and arrhythmia management
Proficiency with cardiac mapping, ablation systems, paging/monitoring equipment, and electronic medical records; Microsoft Office skills
Current BLS; ACLS preferred or required per facility
Radiation safety awareness and adherence to shielding and monitoring protocols
Ability to lift supplies, assist with patient positioning, and respond to emergencies
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Flexible with shift coverage and occasional overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, high‑quality nursing care for patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures, catheter ablation, ICD implantation, and cardiac resynchronization therapy
Prepare, monitor, and recover patients for EP procedures, ensuring appropriate pre‑ and post‑procedure care and education
Operate and support cardiac mapping, ablation, fluoroscopy, and monitoring equipment; troubleshoot devices in collaboration with EP techs and physicians
Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to hemodynamic changes under established protocols
Educate patients and families on procedure expectations, discharge instructions, and long‑term arrhythmia management
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and follow all hospital and regulatory policies
Participate in continuing education and stay current on electrophysiology best practices and technologies
Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, patient safety, and compassionate care
