About this Position
Assists physicians in the delivery of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) following established methods, procedures and standards. Under minimal supervision, utilizes a systematic approach to patient and participant care incorporating assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assists in patient scheduling and treatment authorizations. Will be responsible for patient follow-up call-backs.
Support research programs at Hardesty with clinical study components
Coordinate research and clinical TMS protocols, and function as an extended team member in various research programs at the OSU Biomedical Imaging Center
Serve as a medical resource for Imaging Center MRI patients
Assists physicians and staff in the delivery of patient care as directed following established methods, procedures and standards. Under minimal supervision, utilizes a systematic approach to patient care incorporating the following: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Answers phones and schedules surgeries/tests. Assists the physician in surgical in-office procedures. Call patients back with their test results and follow-up appointments.
Required Qualifications
Other Professional Degree ASN/AND/BSN
Licensed RN
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Six (6) months clinical experience required
Experience with scheduling and assisting with procedures
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Current Licensed RN as required in the State of Oklahoma. Current BLS certification and valid Driver License required
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Skilled in delivery of patient care and procedures, medication administration, triage, and direct patient care
Knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy required
Ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) preferred, not required
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) preferred, not required
Mental Health care
Experience in EPIC a big plus
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Referral/authorization experience preferred
