Schedule: 2:30pm-11:00pm, 40 hours/week; on call and holiday rotation

General Summary
Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Education / Licensure / Certification Required
Obtain and maintain BLS certification on completion of hospital orientation.
Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license at time of hire/transfer date required.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing at time of hire/transfer date.
Demonstrate knowledge of Growth and Development over life span for all ages required.
Ability to manage multiple high-tech equipment/information devices simultaneously required.
Must be able to take on-call shift.
Must be able to flex.
Must have minimum of two (2) years OR experience required.
Preferences
Current CNOR certification desired preferred.
