Space Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis Intern
in Huntsville, AL for summer 2026. The Intern will assist in the development of space system models, mission simulations, and analytical tools for DoD and IC programs.
Responsibilities
Support development of space system models, including orbital mechanics and mission geometry.
Assist in running simulations using tools such as MATLAB or AFSIM.
Help analyze mission scenarios and extract performance metrics.
Prepare data, plots, and visualizations for senior engineers.
Document modeling assumptions, results, and analytical findings.
Qualifications
Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of orbital mechanics or space systems concepts.
Exposure to MATLAB, Python, or C++.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a technical environment.
Desired Skills
Coursework in orbital mechanics or astrodynamics.
Exposure to simulation tools such as STK, MATLAB, or Python.
Interest in space mission analysis and space operations.
Clearance
Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. government security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
