Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and develop a plan of care for diverse populations in an acute care setting.
Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff such as therapy technicians.
Bill services in accordance with setting guidelines and facility policies.
Understand and comply with the rules and regulations of the relevant PT board and state.
Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure team‑focused care.
Understand adaptive equipment and its application in patient care.
Modify plans of care based on patient progress.
Use the medical center computer system for daily tasks.
Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and insurance guidelines.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of experience; 1 year of experience preferred for experienced candidates.
National Board of Emergency BLS certification.
State licensure for physical therapy.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and to bend, lean, or stoop comfortably.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
