About The Role
The
Co-Responder Clinician III
serves on the front lines of behavioral health crisis response, partnering directly with law enforcement, paramedics, and fire personnel.
This role is ideal for experienced clinicians who thrive in fast-paced, high‑acuity environments and want to make a direct impact in the community.
You’ll provide on-scene crisis intervention, clinical assessment, and care coordination, helping individuals in crisis access the right level of support—safely and effectively.
What You’ll Do
Respond to behavioral health emergencies alongside public safety teams.
Deliver de‑escalation and crisis intervention in the field.
Conduct rapid biopsychosocial assessments.
Support decision‑making for medical and law enforcement partners.
Facilitate mental health holds (M1/M3) and emergency commitments.
Coordinate referrals and connect individuals to ongoing care.
Provide short‑term case management and 72‑hour follow‑ups.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
Collaborate with community agencies and stakeholders.
Participate in outreach, education, and training events.
Transport clients as needed.
Work Environment
This is a field-based, high‑impact role operating throughout the community.
You May Respond To
Active violence incidents (shootings, stabbings).
Suicidal or armed individuals.
Domestic violence and child abuse cases.
Serious medical emergencies and overdoses.
Work Settings Include
Homes, parks, and public spaces.
Hospitals, psychiatric units, and jails.
Community agencies.
Safety Requirements Include
Wearing ballistic body armor.
Operating in dynamic and potentially hazardous environments.
Exposure to infectious diseases.
Qualifications
Required
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
Current Colorado LCSW or LPC license.
Minimum 2 years of crisis intervention experience.
Valid Colorado driver’s license with good driving record.
Preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
