Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced and confident
Stepdown/PCU Travel RN
ready to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role offers
shift accountability , strong team collaboration, and the opportunity to apply advanced clinical judgment while working with a supportive care team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient care using the
Nursing Process , demonstrating leadership, and ensuring safe, effective outcomes for patients requiring close monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/PCU setting
Monitor and assess patients with complex conditions
Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in care planning
Delegate tasks appropriately based on team skill levels
Supervise and support assigned staff
Maintain clinical competencies through continued education
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and Nurse Practice Act
Requirements
Active Alabama RN license or Compact (Multistate) License (No prior license hits accepted)
BLS & ACLS Certifications (Required)
Cerner EMR experience (Preferred)
