General Function
As an Optician you will act as an ambassador for Oakley with the aim to educate and push the boundaries of possible performance for our customers, both on and off the field. You will engage the community, inspire learning among the team, grow the business through exceptional customer service, and ensure Oakley customers receive the highest performance from our optical products and services.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Creates an exceptional customer experience and provides urgent service to satisfy customer needs.
Demonstrates superior product knowledge; describes features and benefits of lenses and frames using appropriate tools to support the customer’s final selection.
Acts as a leader in optical operations; partners with Store Management to identify growth opportunities for Rx expansion as a driver of the business.
Fosters an environment of learning so all team members become experts in our optical products and services.
Engages with the local community to attract a new customer base.
Anticipates problems, identifies underlying causes, and develops long-term solutions; ensures customer satisfaction and exceeds expectations. Partners with management as needed.
Performs work accurately under time pressure using technology and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Supports daily retail operations; follows policies and procedures; collaborates with the management team.
Takes pride in store appearance and assists with maintaining visual objectives, housekeeping standards, and floor/fixture changes.
Additional duties may be assigned to support store operations.
Fosters an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect.
Basic Qualifications
Current State Optician License
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Knowledge of current optical theory and practices
1+ years of retail sales experience
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including opening/closing, nights, weekends, and holidays
Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong relationship-building abilities
Ability to be on your feet most of the day on the sales floor or in the stock room
Ability to maneuver merchandise and lift up to 40 lbs
Physical activities include repetitive motions, bending, kneeling, twisting, stretching, squatting, pushing, pulling, stooping, lifting, climbing, carrying, walking, reaching, or using a step stool regularly
Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range:
25.02-39.02
