Soil & Chemistry Lab Tech I — Field & SEM Prep

Inside Higher Ed is seeking a Soil and Chem Lab Tech I to assist with the processing and extraction of humic acid from lignite samples and the preparation of samples for chemical analysis. The ideal candidate has a degree in Geology or Chemistry, and experience in rock/soils lab work and GIS is preferred. This role requires identifying biological materials using a scanning electron microscope and may involve fieldwork for sample collection. This position is security sensitive, located in Alpine, Texas with a salary of $18/hr.
