CFD Research Corporation is seeking a Welder to join our team and play a pivotal role in the process of fabricating and welding simple to complex assemblies. This position is a new role that will work on a growing team of engineers and technicians and will encompass fabrication to help support technology development programs designed and prototyped at our new Hollywood, Alabama Engineering Test Center, located a short distance from our Headquarters in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding techniques, read weld drawings and material lists, and other related documents. This role requires strong communication skills.
Basic Qualifications

Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Position requires an associate's degree or higher and at least 4 years of experience in a machining environment.
Experience designing and developing tooling and fixtures for manufacturing.
Proficient in working with a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, stainless steels, and nickel alloys.
Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with AS9100 process.
Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with ERP systems (Cetec).
Experience with aerospace hardware.
Experience with TIG welding techniques.
Experience with Orbital Pipe Welding.
Location: This individual will work onsite in Hollywood, AL.
