Job Title and Description
This position is a mid-level Senior Fleet Mobile Technician who provides high‑quality vehicle maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles with a focus on exceptional customer satisfaction in a cost‑effective manner. The Technician may work independently or in a team environment and reports to the Area Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, Area Fleet Maintenance Manager, or the Senior Area Fleet Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspect vehicle for mechanical deficiencies; perform light repairs as required.

Based on certification levels, perform various repairs and maintenance which may include OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune‑ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, state safety inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive‑line components etc.

Maintain/repair equipment (cable trailers, laptop docking stations, etc.).

Keep shop area clean and tidy; perform work in accordance with safety standards; dispose of all fluids safely and in compliance with regulations.

Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records; up‑fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.

Perform more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and some fabrication.

Coordinate with vendors for parts and repairs to assure prompt repairs; provide roadside assistance as needed.

Provide custom equipment when needed by engaging in equipment design and moderate fabrication tasks including welding.

Maintain availability of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems, generators and electrical systems, hybrids, and on‑board computer systems.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or a combination of higher education and experience).

Minimum of 3 years of vehicle service and repair experience; 1 year of customer service experience preferred.

Possess or be able to attain a minimum of 4 ASE certifications preferred.

Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to frequently enter and exit vehicles.

Regular standing, walking, reaching, talking and hearing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting and climbing.

Vision that includes close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds (tools, equipment).

Must comply with DOT regulations; complete DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical (or provide a valid DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining).

Candidate must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid state‑of‑residence CDL‑A driver’s license; able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Hourly Pay:

USD 29.38 – 44.09 per hour; rate may vary within this range based on location and candidate qualifications. Position may be eligible for additional compensation such as commission and/or incentive program.

Minimum 6.67 hours of paid time off every month.
