Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102‑bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and we are enthusiastic about providing compassionate health care from our team here at Canyon Creek Behavioral Health.

Position Summary
The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. OFFERING A $7,500 SIGN-ON BONUS!!!

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Prioritize and formulate a plan of care based on patient assessment and according to policy.

Document and reassess any significant changes in the patient's condition in compliance with facility policy.

Provide education to patients and families based on their identified needs and limitations, such as communication, interpersonal, and social skills as well as basic principles of physical health.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred; minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days of employment. Successful completion of Handle with Care training and Service Excellence Training within 30 days of employment. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.
