VARITE is seeking a qualified Histotechnician to work in Ridgefield, CT.

Contract Duration:
12 months
Pay Rate:
$48.57 - $52.04 /hr on W2
Work Authorization:
Only USC or GC
Key Responsibilities
Tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens.
Sectioning tissues using microtomy techniques to prepare high-quality slides.
Performing routine, special staining, and IHC/IF procedures.
Whole slide scanning.
Maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Ensuring quality control and accurate documentation of laboratory procedures.
Collaborating with pathologists and research scientists to support ongoing projects.
Qualifications & Skills
Must Have:
Microtomy skill
Experience with FFPE tissue block sectioning
ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL), or eligibility to obtain certification
Proficiency in microtomy, tissue processing, embedding, and staining techniques
Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance
Exceptional attention to detail, manual dexterity, and organizational skills
Excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment
Education
Bachelors Degree
