$30.61 – $45.94 per hour.
Job Summary
Certified Surgical Tech – PRN at Muscular‑Skeletal Ambulatory Surgery Center, Thornton, Colorado. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will assist in providing safe and effective nursing care in the operating room, including direct patient care, instrument setup, asepsis, room turnover, and clinical data recording.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate practical and technical skills required for the role of surgical technician in accordance with the Association of Surgical Technologists.
Assist in preparing the operative suite by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments.
Ensure surgical asepsis in handling instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings.
Assist in turnover of operating rooms between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning equipment and surfaces.
Prepare procedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, “pulling cases” accurately, and reporting items that are needed.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred).
State of Colorado Surgical Tech Certification.
One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably an ambulatory surgery center).
Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
