Role Overview
We are seeking a
Research Technician – In Vivo
to support their preclinical animal studies. This is a highly hands-on role focused on executing in vivo procedures, including dosing, blood collection, and general study support. The position involves working across both
small and large animal models.
This is a6-month contract-to-hire opportunity onsite in San Diego.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in vivo study procedures including dosing, blood collection, and sample handling
Support execution of preclinical studies across small and large animal models
Assist with studies involving non-human primates, rodents, and other relevant species
Maintain accurate documentation of study activities, observations, and sample trackingWork closely with study leads and scientists to ensure adherence to study protocols
Assist with vivarium and general laboratory operations as needed
Ensure compliance with SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and animal welfare standards
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
1+ years of hands-on in vivo research experience in industry or academia
Experience with dosing and blood collection
Exposure to either small or large animal models
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, execution-focused CRO environment
Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and record-keeping skills
Willingness to support a variety of study types and animal models as needed
Eager to build deeper technical expertise in in vivo research and preclinical studies
