
General Cashier / Food and Beverage A/P

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Monitor, maintain and oversee the handling of all cash and cash banks, for the Hotels and Restaurant. Provide support, as the accounting clerk, in additional responsibilities.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
General Cashier
Prepare, reconcile and report the cash dropped by employees
Prepare bank deposits for pick up as scheduled
Conduct staff bank audits once a month and when needed for about 65 banks
Prepare contracts for new associates and assign bank safes
Prepare cash over/short reports daily
Resolve cash over/short issues before month-end
Reconcile bank balance with house account funds
Create written warnings for employees exceeding $10.00 in shortage-based PMS reports vs. the actual amount dropped
Collect and count money from the Parking and Vending Machines throughout the hotels twice a month
Responsible for petty cash reimbursement and reporting
Prepare change orders when needed
Provide change to Front Desk & F&B cashiers
Any other task management deems necessary to operate the hotel and outlets
F&B Accounts Payable Assistant
Assist in answering vendor inquiries
Process invoices for input, approval and payment through 3-way matching: check vendor invoices, and expense vouchers
Post daily F&B A/P invoices ensuring that all backup is included such as inventory sheets, PAR sheets, quotes, purchase orders, email approvals and proper coding in BirchStreet and M3 Programs
Prepare weekly payment request for F&B invoices
Gather and analyze Accounts Payable data to prepare reports for management
Interact with other departments, vendor and management in a pleasant professional manner to solve any A/P issues
Must maintain a well-organized and clean work environment conductive to being efficient and effective in your duties
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job it may require to
Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
Frequency use fingers and hands for keyboard and arms to reach
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
College Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
1-2 years with cashiering/accounting experience
Highly organized, attentive to details
Able to interact with customers and employees in a professional and thoughtful manner
Team player with willingness to help where necessary
