Commercial Plumbing Mechanic
Location:
DMV Region (VA / MD / DC)
Pay:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience
Prevailing Wage Opportunities:
$60–$75 per hour when available depending on project classification
Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking
Commercial Plumbing Mechanics
to support our growing mechanical construction projects across the DMV region.
This role focuses on the installation of commercial plumbing systems on new construction and renovation projects.
Types of Projects
Multifamily and mixed-use developments
Universities and educational facilities
Healthcare and medical buildings
Office buildings and tenant fit-outs
Hospitality and hotel projects
Key Responsibilities
Install commercial plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, and storm piping
Perform rough-in, layout, and installation according to plumbing and construction drawings
Install fixtures, valves, and piping systems
Cut, thread, and assemble piping materials
Maintain job site safety standards and cleanliness
Work with Foremen and crews to meet project schedules
Apply If You Have Experience With
Commercial plumbing installation
Rough-in plumbing systems
Domestic water, sanitary, and storm piping
Reading plumbing or mechanical drawings
Commercial construction job sites
Qualifications
2+ years of commercial plumbing experience
Ability to read and interpret plumbing or construction drawings
Familiar with hand tools and installation equipment used in plumbing work
Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
Willingness to travel to project sites across the DMV region
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
