
Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Nursery Pediatrician

Nemours Children's Health, Jacksonville is seeking a passionate and dynamic Newborn Nursery Pediatrician to work in partnership with Wolfson Children's Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates and treats newborns with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
Adheres, contributes, and develops clinical patient pathways to ensure a standardized approach to newborn medicine.
Establishes and updates protocols to ensure proper newborn care.
Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost‑effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
Acts as admitting and attending physician for newborns.
Serves as the primary educator for pediatric residents.
Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeals all denials in a timely manner.
Participates in inpatient rounds with the team to assure timely evaluations of all newborns.
Provides call coverage.

Qualifications
MD or DO
Board certified/eligible in General Pediatrics
Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
Pediatric Hospitalist fellowship preferred
