Position Highlights
Work location: 6100 Harris Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76132
Work environment: Surgery Department
Work hours: 36 hours Full-Time Weekend Day Shift, Sa/Su/Mo 6:30a-7p
Call is not required, holidays required when it occurs during your schedule pattern.
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth (THSW) is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987. The hospital has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff. The hospital is a Pathway to Excellence ae designated hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a designated UnitedHealth Premium Surgical Spine specialty center, and has earned Quality Respiratory Care Recognition from the AARC. Position Responsibilities
THSW Certified Surgical Techs will assist in Robotic procedures including Urologic, Gynecologic, and General Surgery. They will also assist in 10 OR suites providing services in Orthopedic, Ortho/Spine, Podiatry, Plastics, Vascular, Gynecology, Urology, and General Surgery.
Education
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 (Req)
Other Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology (Upon hire, Req)
Other Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology (Upon hire, Pref)
Experience
1 Year current operating room experience (Pref)
Licenses and Certifications
CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) (Upon Hire, Req)
LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse (Upon Hire, Req)
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Req)
Skills
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, acceptable grooming practices and ability to function in a fast-paced, changing environment.
