Job Summary
The Process Engineer position is responsible for supporting the manufacturing and operational workflows, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness by analyzing design, and implementing improvements to production processes, focusing on safety, scalability, and compliance with industry standards. This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, the following:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assess and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Develop and implement process optimization strategies using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 5s.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, operations and safety, to resolve technical issues.

Evaluate and integrate new technologies or automation to streamline workflows.

Conduct troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis to address inefficiencies and defects.

Determine and track departmental goals.

Collect, analyze and interpret operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Drive initiatives such as 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to foster a culture of operational excellence.

Maintain detailed records, including SOPs, process maps, and troubleshooting guides for consistent operations.

Provide technical guidance and training to operators and team members to enhance process understanding.

Qualifications

Work experience: Entry Level to 2 years.

Bachelor’s Degree in Process/Industrial Engineering or another Engineering field.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Self‑motivated and works well with or without supervision.

Good organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Hand‑eye coordination necessary to operate testing instruments, tools, computers and various office equipment.

Detail‑oriented, able to read and interpret drawings, BOMs, options, shop details, etc.

Good attendance record and a strong sense of personal responsibility.

Proficiency with personal computer skills.

Ability to work safely.

Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.

Proficiency in data analysis and technical software (Excel, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Process Simulation software).

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Experience developing, implementing, and sustaining new or improved manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
