Responsibilities
You’ll perform quality control for the construction and rehabilitation of roads and/or bridges, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination and safety in New Jersey. You’ll also read contract documents and construction plans and prepare inspection reports documenting the inspection of the on‑site inspection of the Contractor’s Means and Methods of constructing components of road/bridge construction projects.

Qualifications

Substantial years of experience working as construction inspector on road/bridge projects

Able to work either days or nights, as required by the project assignment

NICET IV Certification or substantial professional experience with Road/Bridge inspection experience in the New Jersey area

Ability to read contract documents and construction plans

Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record

Preferred Qualifications

Site Manager experience

ACI Certification

TCC Certification (Rutgers)

Office Engineering and Construction inspection experience

This role will be paid at an hourly rate.

The base salary range for this position is $135,000.00 to $156,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
