
Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician for a full-time, long-term contract opportunity supporting a high-volume manufacturing facility. This role plays a key part in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient plant operations. This is a stable contract assignment with consistent hours and the potential for long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in an industrial environment
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and testing equipment
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on plant machinery and control systems
Work with PLCs, HMIs, motors, drives, and automated equipment
Ensure compliance with all safety standards, codes, and regulations (OSHA, NEC, etc.)
Support equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to reduce downtime and improve performance
Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage
Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical systems and controls
Experience working with PLCs (troubleshooting required; programming a plus)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Familiarity with industrial safety practices, including lockout/tagout
Self-directed with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
