Registered Nurse (RN) - Breastfeeding Medicine Program, IBCLC, Part Time
$39.90 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
UVA Health University Medical Center is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team and grow within a nationally recognized academic medical center. This role focuses on breastfeeding medicine and includes clinical, mentorship, and leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities :
Relationship Based Care – cultivate relationships with self, colleagues, and patients/families to enhance patient experience.
Expert Caring – conduct clinical assessment, planning, prioritizing, coordination, and implementation of care.
Empowered Leaders – participate in shared governance and demonstrate knowledge.
Lifelong Learners – engage in professional development, certification, and support onboarding.
Quality Achievement – adhere to documentation guidelines, analyze outcomes, engage in performance improvement, and commit to standard work.
Innovation – apply technologies, evidence based practice, and nursing research to advance patient care.
In addition, other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within five years of hire.
Experience: One year of relevant experience.
Licensure/Certifications: Registered Nurse license in Virginia. American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Physical Demands
– standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, bending/stooping, ability to lift/push/pull 20–50 lbs, exposure to chemicals, blood/contact with infectious disease.
