About the role
Westinghouse is looking for Utility Technician/ General Labor support at the HF Lee Plant located in Goldsboro, NC. This is a long-term, local hire outage position starting as soon as possible. All candidates should have reliable transportation, be able to work outdoors, and have experience with forklift, weed eaters, chain saws, and other outdoor equipment. If needed on occasion overtime and weekend work might be needed. Competitive wages with advancement opportunities and benefits including Medical, Dental, 401k, Paid Vacation and Holidays.
Qualifications
Must have the ability to be forklift qualified and maintain qualifications. (Various Forklifts, Stand and Reach, Motorize Pallet Jack, Ottawa operation and other moving equipment.)
Must have the ability to operate the more complex and critical equipment associated with Material Handler Duties
Complete Basic Rigging as required, (as applicable)
Must Maintain RWT Qualifications and all required training.
Be able to lift 50 lbs. (heavy lifting required from time to time.) Must have a valid State issued Driver's License
Preferred to hold a valid Commercial Driver's License
Basic Computer Skills
Possess good oral and written communication.
Ability to understand and follow oral and communications, technical requirements, procedures and directives associated with working at a nuclear power plant.
Commitment to personal safety and industrial safety.
Be assertive and self-motivated, with ability to work independently or with minimum onsite.
Must meet minimum education requirements, High School Diploma or equivalent... Significant material handling experience
Pass a drug test
Pass a security background check
Valid drivers license
