Overview
Under the supervision of the Outpatient Services Manager, this position will have reception and clinical responsibilities. These include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for their appointment and documenting appropriately in the electronic medical record.
Responsibilities

Education/Licensure or Credentials
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program and be certified in the State of Illinois.
CPR within 1 year of employment.
Skills
Previous medical office experience preferred.
Ability to operate designated computer equipment.
Ability to take vital signs.
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients, medical staff, coworkers, and the public.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new things.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Stand or sit for extended periods of time; push, pull and reach; occasional bending, sitting, stooping and stretching.
Have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a keyboard, telephone, fax machine or other equipment as needed.
Have normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports; specific vision requirements including close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
The work of this position is performed in an environmentally-controlled office environment.
The position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, patients, insurance companies and other members of the public on a regular basis.
