
Nurse Practitioner – Addiction Medicine

Boulder Care is hiring experienced Nurse Practitioners aligned with harm reduction principles. In this position, you will work directly with patients to deliver medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) in a fully remote outpatient setting. Clinicians in this role independently initiate and manage buprenorphine treatment within a structured, team‑supported model of care.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Reside in one of the following states: AK, AZ, CO, FL, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, VA, WA, WY
Have an active Nurse Practitioner license in your state of residence (PA‑Cs or CNSs are not eligible)
For residents of Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, or Virginia hold the designation or licensure required to practice independently without physician supervision
Have at least 2 years of experience in an independent, outpatient setting where you regularly prescribed buprenorphine‑based medications, including initiating care
Strong patient‑centered practice and ability to work autonomously
Private workspace with a HIPAA‑compliant setup
Remote Work Requirements
Full‑time: 30–40 hours per week, Monday‑through‑Friday schedules fixed and may be structured as 3×10 h, 4×8 h, 4×10 h, or 5×8 h shifts
10‑hour shifts: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Pacific
8‑hour shifts: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Pacific
Paid Break Allotments
8‑hour shift: one 30‑minute break and one 10‑minute break (40 min)
10‑hour shift: one 30‑minute break and two 10‑minute breaks (50 min)
Compensation & Benefits (Full‑Time)
Salary: $130,000–$140,000 (up to $145,000 in select HCOL markets) for 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week), approximately $62.50–$67.31 per hour (up to $69.71 in select HCOL markets)
Compensation calibrated for clinicians with approximately 2 years of relevant experience in addiction medicine; may vary based on depth of experience and location‑based factors
FTE‑based pro‑rated compensation:
0.8 FTE (32 hours/week): $104,000–$112,000 (up to $116,000)
0.75 FTE (30 hours/week): $97,500–$105,000 (up to $108,750)
Advanced certification pay differentials (eligible after 6 months, contingent on performance and good standing):
+2% for PMHNP
+1% for CARN‑AP
W2 employment with health, dental, and vision coverage (Boulder covers up to 100% of individual premiums, 60% of dependent premiums)
Vacation: 4 weeks/year (5 weeks after 2 years)
9 paid holidays
12 weeks fully paid parental leave (after 6 months)
Sick leave accrued at 1 hr for every 30 hrs paid
State licensure, DEA registration, renewals, malpractice insurance, and credentialing fully covered
Equipment: company‑issued laptop, monitor, keyboard, and mouse
