Position Overview
American Energy Resources is hiring Outdoor Utility Technicians in Greer, South Carolina to support gas meter installation and replacement projects.
This role involves daily outdoor work and is a great fit for individuals who prefer active, hands‑on work over desk‑based roles.
This position requires walking, lifting, and working in a variety of weather conditions.
Pay & Advancement
Training pay begins at $20.00 per hour
Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours
Weekly performance incentives
Advancement opportunities available after training
Training
Training is completed locally before transitioning into full field work.
Responsibilities
Install and replace residential gas meters
Perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Follow company safety procedures at all times
Work efficiently as part of a field team
Maintain professional communication with customers
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to lift, walk, and perform physical work daily
Comfortable working outdoors
Strong reliability and attendance
Employment contingent upon successful completion of background check, drug screening, and driving record review where permitted by law.

Construction or mechanical experience
Utility or field service work
Plumbing or installation roles
