Civil Engineer – (EIT or PE) – Water/Wastewater Focus

Location: Kennewick, WA

J‑U‑B ENGINEERS, Inc. is seeking to hire a Civil Engineer, EIT or PE – Water/Wastewater focus to work in its Kennewick office. The role is ideal for a water/wastewater engineer who wants real responsibility, strong mentorship, and coaching on their career path while working on projects that directly impact public health and quality of life.

What You’ll Do

Planning and design of water distribution, water treatment, wastewater collection, and sewer systems.

Supporting projects from concept through construction.

Analyzing engineering data, interpreting plans and specifications, and making sound decisions.

Working closely with senior engineers and project managers for mentorship and growth.

Coordinating with structural, electrical, and survey engineers.

Collaborating with agencies, clients, and stakeholders.

Organizing and conducting meetings with consulting partners, contractors, clients, and agencies.

Using modern design tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, WaterCAD, Aquatwin Sewer, and MS Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required.

Professional engineering (PE) certificate in WA is desired but not required.

3‑6 years of experience in civil/water/wastewater engineering.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Desire to work on public and private projects that make a lasting impact.

Salary Range
EI/EIT: $72,000 – $90,000 (based on experience and FE status)
PE‑1: Up to $105,000
