Responsibilities
Undergraduate Adjunct Faculty: Teach clinical courses in medical/surgical, pediatric, obstetric, community, and psychiatric clinical areas, and provide instruction in undergraduate laboratory courses.
Graduate Adjunct Faculty (Nurse Practitioner): Deliver graduate-level coursework including Community Oriented Primary Care, Decision Making and Pharmacologic Management in Practice, Health Assessment in Clinical Practice, Pharmacotherapeutics, Physiology and Pathophysiology in Advanced Practice, and teach practicum courses for family practice, pediatrics, women's health, and adult gerontology.
Required Qualifications
Current, unencumbered Registered Nursing license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Undergraduate faculty must hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or a non-nursing Master’s with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Graduate faculty must hold a minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with a current Family or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner license.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctor of Nursing Practice or PhD degree.
