Position: Overhead Crane Technician
Reports To: Branch Manager
Employee Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $30.00-$38.00 an hour
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Diagnose and repair overhead cranes and hoists.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.
Support customers by interfacing with them and office personnel to repair equipment as needed.
Evaluate situations and recommend required repairs.
Maintain customer rapport by examining complaints, identifying solutions, and suggesting improved methods and techniques.
Service overhead crane systems by installing, inspecting (OSHA/ANSI equivalent), documenting warranty work, and addressing breakdowns.
Document service and installation actions via forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
Build and maintain customer confidence through timely responses, clear communication, and efficient job completion.
Maintain professional presentation, punctuality, appearance, and organization.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently.
Fabrication and welding of structures.
Inspections to OSHA/ANSI criteria.
Electrical circuit troubleshooting.
Assembly and repair of complex machinery.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work at heights.
Willingness to travel.
Safety oriented.
Maintain confidentiality.
Quality and results driven.
Good driving record.
Equipment used to perform job:
