What You Will Do
Utilizing SPC, statistical methods and data analysis to improve production processes including enhancements in yield, lowering costs and increasing manufacturing up time
Assisting in new product development and maximizing manufacturing capabilities
Leading complex projects in a team-based environment taking advantage of your excellent relationship building and communication skills
Utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to facilitate process improvements and teach others
Working with customers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions (up to 10% travel can be expected)
Training production operators and working collaboratively with them to improve processes
Opportunity to develop expertise in float processes and equipment to support troubleshooting and process improvements
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
A Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Ceramic Engineering, or a related STEM degree plus 3 years' of manufacturing experience OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum 3 years' experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment
Experience operating or supporting production processes in a manufacturing environment
Ability to utilize statistical methods and data analysis to improve production processes
Experience working with customers to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience driving process improvements by collaborating across multiple organizational levels and disciplines
Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work autonomously on assigned projects
3+ years as a process engineer in a manufacturing environment
Experience leading 8Ds to help root cause problems and put corrective actions in place
