Shipping and Receiving I

you will be responsible for the functions outlined below:

Essential Functions

Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures

Communicate with carrier representatives to make arrangements for shipments and deliveries

Complete Shipping & Receiving reports

Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

Receive and unpack materials and supplies

Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes

Count all parts in, adjusts shipping tickets to reflect quantities received

Bag and label all parts in bags (part #, item description, quantity and lot number)

Perform lot separation

Deliver bagged parts to inventory

Deliver all others parts and packages to employee listed on PO

Deliver all RA’s to Customer Service Representative

Secure labels to gun boxes and ship out all orders

Prepare labels for shipping via UPS, Federal Express or other means of transportation

Match serial number on the label to the number on the box

Assemble order and prepare goods for shipment

Record shipment data, including weight, charges and space availability

Complete shipping and receiving reports

Participate in the company’s efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity

Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment

Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1+ years of prior working experience in a warehouse/shipping and receiving environment or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job

Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field

Teamwork and the ability to cooperate and work proactively with others is a must

Must be able to manage time efficiently

Great attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills

Ability to work independently and be a self-starter

Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under deadlines and pressure

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget

Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook Word)

Demonstrated ability to recognize and work in accordance with our Company Values

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds

Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the work day

Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc

Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy
